In her teaching, Jules is most interested in connecting people with the therapeutic aspects of yoga - guiding people to their own internal source of calm through movement, breath and meditation. Her classes combine awareness of alignment, breath and a sense of play. Jules teaches vinyasa flow classes, hatha classes, meditation retreats, chair- yoga and sees clients for private yoga therapy sessions.

Michael Taylor
Michael Taylor, RYT's journey into yoga began as a method of recovery from playing soccer. As his practice deepened, he also discovered the stress relief and calm of mind that comes from a regular yoga practice. He has studied Yin, Ashtanga, Power Flow and Fusion Fitness in the U.S.A and Canada. Michael holds two certficates in Teaching Yin Yoga - from Paul Grilley and from Taoist Yoga Master Paulie Zink.
Michael's classes are taught from a physiological perspective to ensure students experience their postures safely and with awareness, deepening over time. This connection with the physical body is the bridge to connecting more fully with themselves.
Jennifer Piercy

Jennifer Piercy, E-RYT500, invites students to explore patterns in the mindbody system from a place of curiosity and wonder. Creating a supportive atmosphere, her teaching encourages the student to connect with and express their concurrent uniqueness/oneness - through awareness, breath, movement, and stillness. Each class is infused with poetry, inspired readings, and the opportunity to welcome all aspects of one's being.
Jennifer began practicing Yoga in 2001 and found herself immediately fascinated by the interplay between 'sthira' (steadiness, effort) and 'sukha' (ease, softness) as they unfolded on her mat, and simultaneously her life 'beyond the mat'. She was drawn to her first teacher training in 2004. Since then she has been blessed to have undertaken advanced training with wonderful teachers such as Donna Farhi, Erich Schiffman, Richard Miller, Angela Farmer, and Sama Fabian.
Jennifer is also a volunteer counsellor and finds the principles of Yoga naturally coalesce into her interest in transpersonal and eco-psychology
Charolette van Bassen

Charlotte van Bassen is both a certified teacher of the Pilates Method and a certified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. She is passionate in her view that movement education based on Pilates combined with the stillness engendered by biodynamic craniosacral therapy are the yin and yang of whole body health.
Charlotte was first exposed to Pilates as a student in London, England in 1985. She began teaching there in 1991 and received her Pilates certification from The Pilates Centre London in 1993. Back in Canada, Charlotte opened the first Pilates studio in Greater Victoria in 1997. She was a founding member of the Canadian Pilates Association (now the Pilates Association of Canada) and has attended and given many related workshops in Canada and the United States.
Charlotte’s odyssey into the world of biodynamic craniosacral therapy began in 2001 through sessions with therapist Howard Jones in Richmond, BC. She was so inspired by the work that undertook a rigorous two year training program with renowned therapist Michael Shea of Juno Beach, FL. On completion of this course of study and her formal certification, she began the process of re-engineering her business to include both craniosacral therapy and movement education.
Charlotte has studied yoga as an avocation since 2001 and finds it a great complement to both the efficient movement and the inner stillness upon which Insideout Movement Therapy is based.
Lisa Banks
Lisa Banks, MA, RN is a registered nurse with a particular interest in wellness. After spending a few years working in hospitals, she realized she would much rather dedicate her efforts to keeping people out of the hospital rather than dealing with them once they were already in. Following that path led her down the road to a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and many years working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Olympic Weightlifting Coach. She began pursuing yoga as part of the path to wellness and has studied for the past 8 years in Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Vinjana yoga. She has taught yoga as part of a strength and conditioning program to the National Triathlon Team and the National Swim team as well as to cardiac and other chronic illness patients.
