80 Hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training Intensive

80 Hour Intensive (July 11-22, 2011)
Location: Sleeping Dog Farm, Victoria, BC, Canada
Tuition: $1,800 (includes breakfast snack and full lunch every day)

 Refund Policy for Intensive

When paying per Intensive, Ajna will refund when written notice is given within 30 days the course starting with holding 15% of total course fee for Adminstration costs of total fee(15% of $1,800)

When paying per Intensive, Ajna will refund when written notice is given within 14 days the course starting with holding 25% of total course fee for Adminstration costs of total fee(25% of $1,800)

When paying per Intensive, there will be no refund within one week of the course start date or after the workshop commences.

This Intensive training will provide you with a working knowledge of how to apply yoga therapeutically to clients with specific health concerns.
Curriculum includes:
1.    Applied anatomy for therapeutic yoga

2.    Developing a holistic model for therapeutic yoga, incorporating:
       a)    Kinesiology
       b)    Vayus
       c)    Chakras

3.    Working with specific health concerns, including:
      a)    Muscular-skeletal injury
      b)    Athletes
      c)    Stress-related illness
      d)    Chronic fatigue
      e)    Fibromyalgia
      f)    Asthma
      g)     Heart disease
      h)    Cancer

4.    Postural assessment

5.    Asana modifications  & sequencing for different needs

6.    Working with health professionals  - learning a common language

7.    Therapeutic pranayama, mudra & meditation

8.    Creating a 6 –week therapeutic program for groups

9.    Practice teaching (to groups and to private clients)

Recommended Reading: YogaBody, by Judith Lasater.

2011 Intensive Schedule July 11-22, 2011

Classes are held at Sleeping Dog Farm.
Students can choose to stay overnight for a full retreat, or come to class every day from Victoria.

The 80 hour Therapeutic Yoga Intensive is a module of Ajna Yoga’s 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. The Intensive can be taken on its own.
